Rules

  • The tournament will be conducted in a Blitz Chess format and is open to all participants.
  • All games will adhere strictly to FIDE Blitz Chess Rules.
  • The time control for each game is 3 minutes + 2 seconds increment per move (3+2).
  • A player who touches a piece must move it if a legal move is possible.
  • First offense: A warning will be issued.
  • Second offense: The game will be awarded to the opponent.
  • If a player's time expires, they lose the game unless the opponent lacks sufficient material to deliver checkmate, in which case the game is declared a draw.
  • All mobile phones and electronic devices must be switched off and kept away during play.
  • Any use of external assistance, including chess engines or coaching, will result in immediate disqualification.
  • In the event of a dispute, the arbiter’s decision will be final and binding.
